and pulled him to the table to where the rest of the family was sitting
"daddy, daddy! let's play this new game i discovered!"
daddy soon realized that
rachel's newly discovered game was monopoly
and rachel gradually found that
daddy had played monopoly before
daddy bought property after property
built hotels after hotels
and soon had everyone bankrupt
the moment rachel's little doggie piece
fell into daddy's hotel-laden broadwalk
daddy jumped up
and did a victory dance around the table
the family wasn't impressed
and one by one,
each left the table to their rooms
leaving daddy to clean up after the game
as daddy counted all his money
and placed it all back into the box
he realized that all this didn't count
he found that he had won everything
in a game that didn't count
and in the process lost something
in a game that did
what counts for you?

God is my hero~!
Okay i was really bored so i started to doodle.
heehee
Anyway, this week i suddenly faced a lot of friendship problems, they all just came at the beginning of the week and to add to that, i had to study for a mountain of tests and rush finish projects. Okay maybe it isn't that stressful, but for me it was. okay anyways so i began to question God, like why was this happening? why on this week? why did so many problems just come at once? I diddn't like ask God for help or anything, i just ignored everything. It got worse, i just wanted to like run away from everything but then God reminded me to turn to him in my struggles, he's the one i should turn to. And as i seeked Him, God really showed me the way out, he taught me what to do with everything.
God is the one i should turn to in my struggles, i shouldn't ignore them or run away from them but i should turn to God, knowing that nothing is impossible for him and he's always always going to be there for me, he's going to be there for you too.
He taught me what it meant to let him take control of everything, when we say "God is in control of my life" it means everything, not only the parts in church, its everything in your life, no matter how small it may be, it all counts! :D
God is my hero~

ride bike
every kid wanting to learn how to ride a bike
must be prepared to take a fall
daddy knows that
so he lets kiddo get bruises and cuts
daddy knows that if he holds onto the bike
the kid can never experience the wind in his cheeks
and the thrill in his heart
when the kid grows up
he may look back on when he started learning to cycle
and draw lessons from that simple process
but in his daily work and all of life's affairs
he knows that at the end of the day
at the very end of the day
he never really needed to learn how to cycle
and wonders why he worried so much about it

Better Now than Later
For me, I take studies really seriously to a point that there was a period in my life that studies and grades were my life and only my life. I never failed a test or an exam in primary school, always scored Band 1s for everything especially english, 'cause it's my best subject.
So when I started secondary school, things started to go downhill in different aspects. Mainly academic which was like, horrible. The last thing I expected was my grades to be in the toilet. Literally, it stunk. It was waining till the last common test which was a few weeks ago.
I studied day and night for all the subjects except english and literature because it was my strong point so I kinda went easy on it. Which apparently backfired because I scored really great for all my subjects except english which i flunked badly. That was like a huge wake up call.
Initially I was stunned in a negative way. But after awhile, I thank God for letting me go through this. It may sound crazy but I mean, I'd rather fail a common test than End of Year Examination which can cause me to drop to N.A. Failing is never good but I doubt if I hadn't failed that english paper, I wouldn't have realize that I should never take anything for granted. Painful price for valuable lesson - worth it.
It's still not too late for me to work even harder for E.O.Ys. By God's grace, I pray that I will do well!
